I feel like they're only doing it cuz Angelina Jolie and George Clooney suddenly made it the "hip" thing to do, but really what are they doing? Americans really don't care and it's not like these celebrities are donating their huge fortunes in order to correct the unequal distribution of wealth which is ultimately leading to all these problems in the world. I mean, what's going to happen when this fad dies down and everyone is back to just not giving a damn anymore. What's going to happen to all the people still stuck in their situations? It's all just going to fall back into its original spiral........
Monday, May 28, 2007

Ugh....I hate people who don't take responsibility for their actions.

I personally believe that actions are the ultimate judge of a person's character. You can say all you want, but if you don't actually live/express that through the way you conduct your life, then all your talk is pointless. Say that you're a good, moral person all you want, but if you don't act it, then all your talk is bullshit to me. So, I don't care how much you say you care about the community, or how much you say you're a paramour of virtue, if you aren't helping to somehow change the society that we live in for the better, then you can just shut the hell up!!

P.S. I had a conversation with someone that really irks me cuz they basically said that as long as you don't kill someone while you're drunk, then being intoxicated is carte blanche to do whatever. I personally think that that is bull shit. You had control of every single moment up until you were drunk, so whatever you do while you are drunk is your responsibility. I'll say that the only cases where that's not really applicable is if you've never been drunk and don't know your limit or how you act when you're drunk, but if you're doing this on a somewhat frequent basis, then you are definitely accountable for your actions. You know what you're like when you're drunk, you know what it takes to get drunk, and if you defend yourself by saying that you have to be drunk to have fun, then there are deeper issues you have to deal with. Iunno....thoughts?

Argh......sorry, just annoyed, cuz I feel that this sentiment (I'm not responsible for anything) is a huge problem with young people. We need to learn to admit our mistakes in order to grow and mature, otherwise you're just stuck in a constant, juvenile state and that is pointless.

Tuesday, May 08, 2007

Tuesday, May 01, 2007

Good luck to all those people marching for immigrant rights today. It seems like everyone I know was born within 7 days of each other. Freakish. Well, being 21 definitely does not feel any different, except now when I'm drunk I don't have to lie about it. Haha. It's all gonna be down hill from here. At least it was a fun time. I know this was finals week, but it was just really nice to see everyone even for an hour. We should do this again more often. It was like China invaded my apartment. Never has there been more Asian people per sq ft of space than Saturday night in the living room. Haha.

Thanks again to Alice for dragging my ass out. It was nice not to worry about stuff for a little while....the tequilla helped with that. It was just a good night all around and I'm happy that I went. =) Thanks to all of the cool peoples who left me messages or who stopped by.

One of many random pics from that night. This is what happens when you don't eat before drinking.....don't know why Mike is so intrigued with the cake though. Haha
Monday, February 26, 2007

I think I know why I'm angry all of the time. I think it's cuz I hold grudges about things and I let really little or really huge things annoy me all of the time, then I just let them fester in my mind for a long time....it's probably really unhealthy and most likely it also means that I'll have a stroke when I'm 28. I should probably try and figure out a way to be more at peace with my surroundings. What's that famous quote again? Have the wisdom to accept the things you cannot change and have the strength to changes those things that you can, or something like that.....
Saturday, February 24, 2007

So addicted to House MD. It's pretty bad.....but I think I like it cuz the main character is cynical, sarcastic and caustic, but still give a crap about people (sorta) and also cuz it questions right and wrong. I think that any TV Show/Book/Play/Movie that makes you question something, especially your perceptions of things, ends up being a success. I guess it's just a human nature type thing.
Also, they have crazily cool medical procedures in it. It makes me so wanna do medicine.

Sunday, February 18, 2007

~Mr. PanAsia 2007!~
Saturday, February 24th at 8PM in Norris Gathering.
$5 Admissions

Special Thanks to Julie from KPL for this kick ass flyer
